***** VICTORIAN STORMS ***** The Threat zone (Yellow zone) is nearing Melbourne. *** SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for DAMAGING WIND, HEAVY RAINFALL and LARGE HAILSTONES *** For people in the Mallee, South West, Northern Country, North Central and parts of the Central, North East and Wimmera Forecast Districts. Issued at 7:32 pm Wednesday, 3 December 2014. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Mildura, Horsham, Warrnambool, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour and Maryborough. Large hail, heavy rain and damaging wind gusts have been reported with thunderstorms during Wednesday afternoon.
