(WUSA9) -- The driver of a dump truck that struck two Prince Georges County Police cruisers in Glenarden on Wednesday morning has been charged with attempted murder, say police officials. Gene Thomas Brandon is accused of intentionally hitting the cruisers in the parking lot of the Woodmore Town Center shopping center. The police cars were empty at the time. Police released video of the incident on Thursday, the same day the announced the charges against Brandon. In the video you see the truck, pass the cruisers one way and then come back the other way, headed directly towards the cruisers. It then hits and pushes the cruisers for some distance. To the right, you see what appears to be two people who were next to the cruisers run away.
