VIDEO: There are several wildfires burning near Dunlevy Ranch in the Soda Creek area north of Williams Lake currently. We phoned the fire in at 3:30 and the air planes were out with in half hour, aid area resident Sarah Grant. They have been fighting the fires since. We believe the fires started on the train tracks but we cant confirm, she added. Got News Network Inc. is on site. We have counted three water tankers, three helicopters and a bird dog working the fire. Sprinklers can be seen water close to the residences and buildings of the ranch. There are also several smaller fires along the railroad tracks in this area. CN Rail is on scene, as well as the McLeese lake Volunteer Fire Department. BC Forestry crews were also seen arriving in the area around 7:00pm. For the time out photographers have been on site, there has been virtually no wind, but a slight breeze picked up at about 7:00pm.
