VIDEO, VIDEO, VIDEO... VIDEO, VIDEO, VIDEO!!... This next Video was directed and edited by Dan and Gwyn of Warped noise again. After their brilliant work with the Favourite foe video we thought wed bring them along again to do another one. This time though we had a bigger budget, so we were able to be a little more creative with our ideas. We started filming around the start of February 2009. It had been Snowing the days prior to filming, so we werent sure until the last few hours of leaving whether it would be safe enough on the roads for us to make the journey from Petersfield to Salford, Manchester, but we arrived there safely ready for quite a surreal day of filming. The Police station and cell scenes were all filmed at an old abandoned Police headquarters in Salford. The interior had been ransacked and vandalised many times with evidence of deliberate fire damage with wires exposed that had been stripped of any valuable metals. It was also almost pitch black everywhere. You had to navigate your way through the building with a torch. It was very cold, and very spooky. Youd be risking your life if you ventured anywhere further than the ground floor. We hadnt been the first people to film there though. It had been included as part of an episode of The Bill, along with other crime based dramas id never heard of. Looking back on it now it was quite fun to make and we were all given a chance to show off our limited acting abilities. The main Lilo character was played by our friend Legface Man his acting credentials being... he had short hair, but that didnt stop him from pulling of the performance of a lifetime. I think he did an awesome job. The way he played his character straight alongside us goofing about actually worked out really well. *He won a BAFTA the following year for his portrayal of our troubled protagonist. The Courtroom and holding room scenes were all filmed another day at an old historic court in Stafford. It was again a really fun day and I got to dress up as a judge - and thats all I have to say about that - read in Forrest Gump voice. So here it is....
