VIETNAM Vietnam Holds First International Theatre Schools Festival Hanoi (CINET) - The first international theatre schools festival -Asian Pacific Region will be held in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam, from September 05 to 10. The event aims to create a chance for participants to share experiences and further co-ordinate to develop regional theatrical arts. The event is expected to draw 120 representatives and students from 15 professional theatre schools in 10 countries and territories throughout Asia and the Pacific, including Australia, Mongolia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea and Taiwan. 10 plays will be put on besides a series of activities such as performing skills exchange, and stage training and practicing workshop. The event is sponsored by Director Le Quy Duong in association with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the HCMC Stage Association, the HCMC Dance High School and 5B Theater.
