VIRTUOUS, a. [Who can find a virtuous woman?] 1. Morally good; acting in conformity to the moral law; practicing the moral duties, and abstaining from vice; as a virtuous man. 2. Being in conformity to the moral or divine law; as a virtuous action; a virtuous life. 3. Chaste; applied to women. Proverbs 31:10-12 KJB Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. (11) The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
