VISITOR ALERT. The first step in restoring drivable access to Bearpaw occurred Wednesday March 6. A path has been bulldozed through the rubble, thanks to Wildlands Conservancy contractors. Culvert restoration will take much longer, so for now, we have to drive through Mill Creek. Water levels currently are barely ankle deep and stream breadth is so narrow that you could jump across the channel. Id rate the crossing as okay for passenger cars if the driver is comfortable with dirt roads, and as a freeway for those with high clearance vehicles.
