VISITOR SERVICE ASSISTANT: GIFT SHOP Revelstoke Heritage Railway Society Salary: $12.00/Hourly Full-Time, Student Position JOB DESCRIPTION: Visitor Services Assistant: Giftshop This 10 week position, which runs from June 25 to August 31 will provide a practical, hands-on learning experience for a student in retail sales, admissions, and other front line visitor services. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for enchancing our visitor experience, previous sales, merchandising, and cash handling experience, and enjoy working with the public. Previous retail sales and tourism experience is an asset. The hourly rate for this position is $12 plus 4% vacation pay. The successful candidate must be available to work weekends, statutory holidays and some evenings. Candidates for these positions must currently be full-time students (Sept 2013 to April 2013) and returning to full-time studies in the fall of 2014. They must be between the ages of 16 and 30 and legally entitled to work in Canada. All positions and start dates are dependant on approved funding from Federal Government grants.
