VIVEKANAND ROCK KANYAKUMARI:----It is a Temple & Tourist Place in the memory of Swami Vivekananda. It is claimed that he swam to this rock island and meditated & attained enlightenment on the rocks. Henceforth he became a reformer, philosopher and Great Spiritual Leader of India. He was the key figure in the introduction of Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world. He was also credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century & best known for his inspiring speech which began, Sisters and brothers of America... in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the Worlds Religions in Chicago in 1893.
