VOD 09/16/13: We Have Not Because We Ask Not. Verse: 1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and His strength, seek His face continually. Thought: We fail to receive God’s blessings through our failure to listen. The only way to receive His power for living is to listen as He speaks. None of us can control every situation. What we can control is our response to that situation. Seek the LORD and He will guide you and provide the power you need. Each day will bring new needs. If those needs are not met, it is because we are not asking in faith, trusting in Him. We have not because we ask not. The promise of God is ask and you will receive. Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings in our lives. Abba Lord, have Your Holy Spirit help us to get away from selfish desires and give first place to Your will in our lives. We ask Your help in placing a proper priority on our task today. Show us how to come to You in prayer, asking for what is essential to our growth as a people, not what may be a whimsical fancy of the moment.
