VOLUNTEER AND RECRUITMENT MEETING Calling interested volunteers! All welcome! The Summer Solstice Aboriginal Arts Festival (SSAAF) is looking for volunteers for our 17th Annual Festival, which runs June 21-23rd, 2013 in Ottawa, ON. In 2012, the event grew tremendously attracting over 30,000 to the new venue of Vincent Massey Park. In addition to our extensive family and cultural programming, the main draw for most visitors continues to be the International Competition Pow wow. In 2012, the $65,000 in prize money attracted hundreds of the very best dancers from across Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Alberta and many from the United States including New York, Montana, Arizona and more! With this, SSAAF staff had seen a reason to build our volunteer program for 2013! We have over 60 positions to fill over three wonderful, fun-filled days. At this time we would like to invite you to our Volunteer and Recruitment Meeting! Date/Time: Thursday June 13, 2013, 7pm Location: Aboriginal Experiences at Victoria Island, 100 Middle St., Ottawa, ON Let us share with you insider programming updates, door prizes, and a cultural performance. Come out and learn about SSAAF volunteer program and best of all, register and sign up! Positions available for SSAAF 2013: • Site Set-Up/ Dismantle • Gates- Festival Ambassadors • Green Team • Talent Ambassadors • Peace keepers/ Security • Jack and Jill’s of All Trades/ Floaters • Education Day Volunteers, Both French speaking and English speaking Why volunteer with us?
