Embarking on scientifically-proven tree planting techniques, FRIM has successfully turned the barren land into a lush mixed green forest. The guest of honour, DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah officiated the event and also planted merawan bunga (hopea pubescens). Also present were Dato Dr. Abd Latif Mohmodd (DG of FRIM) , Dato Dr. Mohd Ali Mohamad Nor (Deputy Secretary General of NRE), and Dr. Norini Haron (Deputy Director General FRIM).
