VRYGROND FAMILY FESTIVAL 2014! It is over for now - until next year - and we are all pleased to say that it was a great success!!! . . Herewith, I would just like to thank EVERYONE for their wonderful participation and helping hand. Without YOU it wouldnt been possible. . . To all the performers - Local and professional - You guys were amazing! The eMzantsi Blocka band, eMzantsi Rappers, Unknown Dance Crew, Vincent Meyburgh (Vinnie from Zok), Gerald Jetro Pieterse, Marimba group from Lucinda Evans and Everyone I missed out. . . Theatre! Nomvula (The Girl of the Rain), The Playroom, Qhawe, Architecture of Tears, Lingua Franca, FO8, My Body, The Farmers son, Nadia Woodward, The Year of the Bicycle. . . Other Activities - Stroytelling by Ncedo Zide and Dorian Haarhof, Workshop by Kif Komics, Dance workshop with Aviwe November, Free Film of Otelo Burning and then Ithemba Pre-Primary who allowed us to be part of their graduation. . . Not Forgetting the Awesome Volunteers who helped us plan, organize, publicise, market and actually run this Festival - You guys were great! Linamandla Deliwe, Imameleng Masitha, Lara Isenhardt, Asanda Ndudula Deejaytwoburner, Anna, Rae, Frans, Kabelo Bouga Love Chalatsane, Gerald Jetro Pieterse, Chasswell, Aphiwe Oniwe, Ongezwa Mbele . . Well Done to Caroline Calburn and Yvette Hardie for putting in all their efforts to create access to Theatre for children and Young people along with their Families - You guys are LEGEN - Wait for it - DARY! . . Butterfly Art Project - Thanks Angela Katschke for letting us use the Sea Creatures in the Parade, it looked lovely and colourful. Capricorn Primary School, Vrygrond, Cape Town. for the amazing participation of the learners and the activation days prior to the festival and for taking part in the Parade.
