Vacancy Business Analyst / Requirements Manager (the Netherlands) Purpose The Business Analyst/ Requirements Manager works with the customers, development teams and other stakeholders to define and document business processes and software requirements for business information systems as well as technology initiatives, etc. The business processes mainly relate to order processing, network administration, service provisioning, assurance and billing in the Telecom and Internet industry. Responsibilities - Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software. - Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects. Identify and validate the key business requirements. - Lead cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts. - Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements. - Create functional requirements in use cases. Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs. - Contribute to project plans. Profile - Academic level - Minimum 2 years of experience in business analysis/ requirements management and functional design of software solutions - Pre: familiar with information systems and programming languages such as SQL Server, MySql, .NET, C #, Java and PHP. - Pre: knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems - Pre: knowledge of XML Web services - Pre: familiar with process and services in the Telecommunications and Internet industry Skills - Familiar with process modeling techniques and methods. - Self-management, appropriate project management skills, soft skills for engaging with stakeholders. Listening, communication, and scope management are placeholders. - Initiative and result-oriented - Strong analytical, communication and validation skills. - Able to iterate through the requirements in phases. - Must be able to gain trust of all parties involved and communicate the requirements in multiple ways. - Capable to lead an implementation project - Fluent in English Personal specification - Demonstrated ability to initiate and contribute to technical discussions - Ability to provide and receive feedback constructively - Desire to learn and committed to personal development - Proven experience in working with minimal supervision - Evidence of staying in alignment with business sponsor, stakeholders and management.
