***Vacancy*** Following successful growth in the last few years Microtech are seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager. You will assist in our growth strategy to expand our business in the public and private sector within Scotland and Northern England. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in an IT and/or health sector Business Development role. The Business Development Manager will be the driving force in generating new sales leads and penetrating new products into the market place. They will be able to identify, qualify and build solid, high-level relationships with new business prospects in order to promote and sell the company’s sophisticated portfolio of products and services. They will be accountable for building relations with existing clients developing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. They will also be responsible for supporting branding and marketing of company services. She/he will be a self-motivated individual who is disciplined and has the ability and initiative to make their own plans without day to day management. The successful candidate will be responsible for- • Heading up expansion in new markets as well as continued expansion among existing clients • Building relationships with existing clients in an attempt to increase their current spend • Development and execution of marketing and sales plans • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients • Supporting the Managing Director to achieve all revenue objectives • Overseeing the development and distribution of marketing literature • Ability to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximise revenue • To source, target and win new business • Write proposals and participate in appropriate networking events, coordinating marketing activities, attending workshops, trade shows and seminars • Identify opportunities for campaigns, products and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales Our preferred candidate will have the following skills/attributes- • Excellent organisation, presentation, listening, negotiating and consulting skills • Reliable • Customer focused • Good business sense • A deep understanding of marketing principles • A positive attitude • Plenty of initiative, highly motivated and result oriented • Full driving licence • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft applications • The ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision and thrive both on own initiative and as part of a team
