Vacation Day 6 What a hectic day.....Credit Card battered! 8:30am - Perkins for breakfast, which put a smile on everyones face, even the food was delivered smiling (photo) I tried the new French Toasted Cinnamon Bread, with 2 eggs and 2 sausage links...lovely....we had a $10 discount as wed filled in the online survey after our last visit. Headed of to Orange Blossom Boulevard for the Florida Mall, we parked around back next to Macys store and we found our favourite shop of the whole day.... M&Ms Orlando, the smell of all that chocolate, we bought Mugs, Fridge Magnets, T-Shirts, tote bags, purses, fleece blankets, family gifts, earrings, and of course M&Ms I didnt buy the glasses though! We walked around the whole Mall, popped in and out of various shops, my son and I had a quick game of FIFA15 in the Microsoft shop, he was Chelsea and I was Barcelona, he scored first, and then according to Owen I scored two goals that were flukes and a software glitches, yeah right! Id promised my wife Lynne, that I would buy her a new pandora necklace to go with her bracelet, and my daughter, Faith, a couple of new charms for her bracelet. The new exclusive Pandora Disney range is due out on the first of Nov. we asked in store if this was still the case, the lovely lady serving called Barbara said the charms were in, and we could view them. Lynne selected three charms and two stoppers, and Faith choose her two, so thats Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary, Easter and... Any other special day I can think of sorted....Both were really chuffed. Owen got two more T-Shirts and a pair of Denim shorts. A store can awaken a lust for things you never even knew you needed. And when your fingers first grasp those shiny, new bags... oh yes... oh yes. (Film- clue again in what weve been doing) Wed heard stories of tourist being followed and their vehicles being broken into, so we headed straight back home to stash our bargains, before heading back out again for the second leg at Downtown Disney.... Wed heard horror stories about parking here due to all the building work, apparently this wont finish until 2016. I feel sorry for anyone visiting the area for the first time as its not the same with all the hoarding everywhere. We visited DStreet as we collect Vinylmation and wanted to buy a few more, they dont seem to be as popular anymore as the range has drastically reduced, but what we got we were happy with. Wed booked a table at Planet Hollywood for late lunch / early dinner. This is the most expensive place weve eaten so far, we had the VIP Platter to start, everyone enjoyed this. Our kids even enjoyed the spinach! If we served it up at home theyd pull faces...Lynne & Owen had the Lasagne, Faith had the stuffed Burger and I had the chicken in Marsala with mash. It was all pleasant enough, but it was over priced. We had a look around and took some photos... Some places are like people: some shine and some dont. ( Film ? Photo big clue) Visited the shop and bought T-Shirts and fridge magnets. Left and walked down to the Christmas shop, bought the compulsory 2014 tree decoration, weve now got one for every year since 2010, when we had our holiday of a lifetime.. Hmmm! Thats what I thought it was going to be. We bought advent calendars, Muppet tree decorations, I do love Kermit., as well as other bits & bobs. Then into DScene where Lynne found that handbag she just had to have, then into the main Disney Store, where youre greeted by a spitting stitch... He missed me this year. My poor credit card... Salt & Pepper pots, hot tea flasks, chocolates, sweets, T-Shirts, Jewellery, and other items that I cannot even recall being placed into the shopping baskets. All I do know is we walked out carrying 11 bags! I know we packed really light to travel here, and my rule to only bring 3 pairs of shorts and 4 T-Shirts and 5 pairs of socks & smalls will hopefully help us get everything home within our weight allowance.... It was now 7pm... We needed a rest, so off to Disney Quest, Lynne & I went up to the 4th floor for a sit down whilst Owen& Faith went off to kill zombies.... It wasnt long before I was on the NASCAR Circuit. Owen and I kept coming 1st & 2nd, but I was never 1st..... God hes so annoying lol. Weve all had a great day with each other, and bought some really nice things... But Im taking the scissors to the credit card when we get home! Tomorrow were of to Seaworld....
