Val (Valentine) Ready for a true forever home this Sunday, at our purrfect resolutions adoption clinic at Pet Supplies Plus (1225 Western Ave., Albany, from 11-3) Valentine has already had a very hard life for a teenager... first all the girls started teasing her because she started losing her figure, then they realized she was pregnant and out she went. She came to Kitten Angels in late stage pregnancy looking as if she were about to burst, but still held on so unsure of where she was and if indeed she would ever be safe again. But she came to trust her foster and feel all the love she had only before dreamed of... and then came labor... this poor teenager had a horrible time of it and in the end gave birth to 8 kittens. Unfortunately all wasnt over, as she was so weak and feeling worse and worse, not able to nurse properly so her foster was supplementing her babies. They were so small and slowly werent able to hang on and Val just got sicker so she was rushed to the vet and a scan was taken and as feared there was a stillborn still inside and had developed sepsis. Antibiotics were administered so that she could get healthy enough and then an emergency c-section was performed, which she made it through like a champ. Unfortunately the kittens never were able to thrive, probably due to the sepsis though may very well have been that there were too many for such a young girl. So poor Val had to recover, with just her fosters love and care, never raising the kittens she had had such trouble bringing into the world. But she stayed the sweetest of sweet cats, cuddles, purrs, pure love. Shes now ready to have a forever home of her very own, where she never has to worry about caring for another life and only has to thinking about comforting you with her purrs. Do you have room in your heart for this precious teen mama?
