Vallejo firefighters responded to a reported brush fire in the 900 block of fairgrounds, near six flags discovery kingdom. The fire burned a portion of brush on the east side of the park. While firefighters were extinguishing the fire a SFDK employee told firefighters that he saw a young boy on a bike leaving the scene of the fire. Vallejo police and the CHP detained a 12 year old boy and he was later taken into custody by police for possibly setting the fire. Flames and smoke could be seen from the freeway.
