Vampire Diaries Star Michael Trevino on Crossing Over to The Originals: This Will Be Fun We’re still smiling (and eagerly plotting) from the confirmation that The Vampire Diaries’ Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) will be crossing over to The Originals — and, apparently, so is Michael himself. What was his Twitter react to the official announcement? “This will be fun,” Michael tweeted yesterday, along with the link to an interview TVD/The Originals showrunner Julie Plec did with The Hollywood Reporter. In the story, Julie teases that the crossover will happen “very soon,” most likely by the end of November. Though she said Tyler’s appearance on The Originals will answer the questions surrounding Hayley’s wolf guardian angel, It also will introduce a lot more questions. A lot of things will come out of the crossover that are going to shake things up among the core group dynamic of the Original family and there will be a whole storyline that will come out of where that crossover leads them geographically and where it leads them when theyre there. Theres a lot of stuff thats about to be introduced. We agree with Michael — that sounds like fun. Though we have loved The Originals so far, the show has spent decidedly more time on the power dynamics of the French Quarter. Though we’re eager to continue exploring that storyline, more attention given to the familial dynamics of the Original family, and how Hayley’s baby brings them together and/or tears them apart wouldn’t go amiss. With Tyler’s appearance in New Orleans, we imagine the Original family will be front and center again. Are you excited for Tyler’s crossover appearance? Why or why not?
