Vanessa Faye McCoy Coon November 10, 1982 – August 4, 2013 Our beloved Vanessa passed away in her sleep Sunday August 4th, and awoke into the glory of the Universe. Vanessa was baptized in Christ, and raised to be a caring and decent person. It is our sincere hope and belief that family which has passed before her were there to help her on her way, especially her Grandmothers Wanda and Audree. Vanessa touched everyone’s hearts from the moment you met her. If you didn’t know Vanessa – you missed out. She knew instinctively what it took to be a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter and friend. She was considerate, compassionate, and always ready with a laugh or a hug. Vanessa excelled at computer gaming, art, was a Miss-fix-it, and an avid reader. Always happy, smart and caring for others were her hallmarks. She was Ethel to everyone’s Lucy; especially with her mother. She was born at home in Alango.MN and passed from this life at home in Linden Grove MN. She graduated from Cook High School (2001) and Hibbing CC. She was currently employed at Fortune Bay Casino. Vanessa leaves behind a devastated family. Parents Ronald Coon and Janet McCoy, brother Michael Coon and sister Heidi Coy, nephew Damian Coon, uncles Robert (Susan) McCoy, Donald (Audrey) McCoy, Craig (Kitty) Coon, and aunt Diane Coon. Cousins Erich (Ruth) McCoy, Robert J(RJ) and Jessica McCoy, Collette (Ryan) Coon, Curtis Coon, Mariah and Cassen Coon, Colin and Wyatt McCoy, best buddy Jesse, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lysle (1982) and Audree (2011) Coon and Robert (1961) and Wanda (2012) McCA gathering of family and friends will be held on August 18, 2013 from 4 to 7pm at Mlakers Funeral Home in Cook, MN.
