Varun Rajaram tagged me to his interesting list of books that have stayed with him, so I guess I am doing this too (mostly because I cant sleep). Anyway, I also nominate Sanika Bhagwat, Vidya Mohan Nair, Hardik Shah, Zahir Swayambhoo, Maitreya Kadiyala, Rushikesh Kulkarni, Namrata Dsouza. :) This list is somewhat in the order in which I read them. Also some have been clubbed together because I couldnt leave them out, on the basis of some common learning/feelings I acquired from them. I am pretty sure I am missing some books. Anyway, here goes: 1. Famous Five - Enid Blyton / Tintin - Herge 2. Room on the Roof/ Vagrants in the Valley - Ruskin Bond 3. Treasure island - RL Stevenson / Moby Dick - Herman Melville / Gulivers Travels - Jonathan Swift / Life of Pi - Yann Martel 4. Harry Potter Series- JK Rowling 5. Lord of the Flies - William Golding 6. A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking 7. God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy / 11 Minutes - Paulo Coelho 8. Great Expectations - Charles Dickens 9. Sea of Poppies/The Hungry Tide - Amitav Ghosh 10.Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand
