Ventura County forecasts call for Santa Anas, storm-driven surf, - TopicsExpress

Ventura County forecasts call for Santa Anas, storm-driven surf, and dangerous weather from all directions tomorrow. A red flag warning is in effect until Friday evening. Drought conditions have left plant fuels explosive, fire officials warn. And a coastal hazard warning has been issued as storms in the central Pacific will coincide with high tide. Waves are expected to reach 12 feet (19 ft. along the Central Coast). Be on alert for: rip tides, sneaker waves, jetties, beach erosion, open flames, embers, over-heated cars, high-profile vehicles...Oh, and dont forget about the mountain lions. Living here is not for the faint of heart. The apparent ease of California life is an illusion, and those who believe the illusion will live here in only the most temporary way. Joan Didion
