Very chilly and blustery weather prevails across the northern Rockies. Another wave of moisture will bring mountain snow and valley rain, snow and graupel showers through Wednesday evening. The showers will diminish overnight with lows dropping to the upper 20s in Butte to the 30s elsewhere. Another wave of Pacific moisture will bring increasing showers to northwest Montana Thursday morning and area wide by the afternoon. Otherwise, partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the 50s. The strongest storm system will move through western Montana on Friday with a good chance of mountain snow and valley rain or a mix, especially from the Missoula southeast to the Butte and Bozeman areas. The precipitation will linger through Saturday and finally end by Sunday. Temperatures will remain below normal for late April. A warmer and drier weather pattern will develop next week, with warm conditions expected by Wednesday.
