Very entertaining 4-4 draw, tonight, vs Beer Reserves. Somehow, we found ourselves 4-1 down with 15 mins left, although I felt we had played by far the better football. Our patterns and movement is developing and it is down to the effort of the lads at pre season training. Ryan Prenders was a handful all night and scored 2 goals: his first was a deflection (goal bound, so he can claim it) and the second was a real peach - a dipping, on-the-valve Ronaldo-esque free kick from 25 yds! One of the photos, below, shows Mr Chairman slotting a penalty coolly for his second of the night; considering he came on in the second half, that is a pretty good ratio of goals-to-minutes! Jack Chapple skippered well and there are, once again, plenty of positives to take away. A bit of ball watching on two of the goals cost us, but there will always be something to work on. A big mention also to Brad Rowe and Matt Watson, making their Senior Football debuts, tonight. I am delighted that they have chosen to start their careers in the Uplyme Blue and they certainly showed that they have bags of talent - well done, lads!
