Very exciting news!!! Im going to Abidjan, Ivory Coast!!! Today I received an unexpected visit from my good friend Lynn Nwagbara of African Enterprise Europe, and with her the International Team Leader (=CEO) Stephen Mbongo. This is the top level of the organization that originally brought me to Rwanda... Lynn has faithfully kept tabs on me all this time. They invited me to join their peace and reconciliation mission in Abidjan this September!! The mission will last about ten days and will hold discussion seminars with leaders of different sectors of society, from politics to police to academia. African Enterprise has a solid track record of peace and reconciliation work in various countries, and I am very excited for this opportunity. It will build my credibility as a peacebuilding practitioner and give me leverage for finding a paid position with a similar organization. For this I need my donors to send me! As soon as I have enough, a plane ticket will be purchased... I will also see if it is affordable to continue on to Rwanda afterward for a week or so of reunion with my dear friends there. The funny thing.... this very morning at Mass I sort of whimpered to God, Oh I want to go back to Africa, so much... It seems He has heard me....
