Very few directors have brought out the best from the actors and technicians. one such person is veteran director K.Balachander(KB). while he is no more, his movies will continue to speak for years. He has pushed the actors and actresses beyond their comfort zone and gave them a new dimension. Movies like Thillu mullu, Ninaithey innikum, Naan avan illai ( Gemini ganesan starrer), Sindhu bhairavi, EK Tuje keliye are trend setters in Indian cinema. The man who has brought out the best from Ilayaraja & not to forgot ARR, who was introduced by KB through the film Roja. While no one has challenged Ilayaraja for national award, KB provided him the much needed platform through Sindhu Bhairavi and Rudra veena. Sindhu Bhairavi needs special mention here. All those critics who criticized Ilayaraja had to finally surrender in this movie. RIP KB sir.
