Very functional tip from Annette to get rid of flies. Been doing this for yonks around our barbecue area. Even upgraded now to a disco ball Christmas tree decoration hanging from a lint. Apparently compound eyes get affected by the flashing and sends them buzzing off. Also if you want to keep birds away from an area hang an obsolete cd disk from a roof truss by a piece of lint. The reflection of the sun on the disc resembles predator birds eyes flashing. Gets rid of roof crappers permanently. ;))
