Very good article by Fred Gaede in the quarters edition of the Military Collector and Historian Journal on the Independent Greys of Baltimore and the evolution of said unit from inception to the members leaving and going to Harpers Ferry and Richmond to form parts of the 21st Va. and the 1st Maryland Battalion. Fred never ceases to amaze me on the amount of information he can cram into a 5-6 page article.
