My attempted translation of हफ़ीज़ होशियारपुरी,s GAZAL, मोहब्बत करनेवाले कम ना होंगे.Also, listen to the unparalleled rendition of Mehdi Hassan Sahab. मोहब्बत करनेवाले कम ना होंगे तेरी महफ़िल में लेकिन हम ना होंगे Reckoning of your admirers will never wane, but henceforth, I will not be the part the congregation of your beaus. ज़माने भर के ग़म या इक तेरा ग़म ये ग़म होगा तो कितने ग़म ना होंगे Of these perpetual miseries of the world, (I ponder over them all), (and) I think, put all of them on one hand, and then I say, here, on the other hand, is the misery (of your separation). If one has this, then what of others? अगर तू इत्तफ़ाक़न मिल भी जाये तेरी फुरक़त के सदमें कम ना होंगे In inconceivable turn of events, even if we do unite, then also, the wounds afflicted by your separation wont ever heal. दिलों की उलझनें बढ़ती रहेंगी अगर कुछ मशवरे ब-हम ना होंगे If some (unsolicited) advice does not annoy you, then (let me) tell you that turmoil of hearts of those in love will be ever increasing! हफ़ीज़ उन से मैं जितना बदगुमाँ हूँ वो मुझ से इस क़दर ब-रहम ना होंगे O Hafeez (the poet is addressing to himself), so thorough is your disillusionment with her that even her neglect towards you too, wont surpass it.
