Very helpful resource for individuals and businesses needing earthquake assistance: A Local Assistance Center (LAC) is opening today at 301 First Street in Napa at the corner of First Street and Silverado Trail. The Napa LAC is a one-stop location where residents and business owners can access earthquake assistance information and connect with available resources. Services to be provided at the Napa LAC include city and county building permits and financial assistance, food assistance, family resources, mental health and other community resource programs. Representatives from City of Napa Building Department, Napa County Planning Building and Environmental Services, the Napa County Assessor, the Napa County Health and Human Services Agency, the American Red Cross, Legal Aid, Season of Sharing and the Tzu Chi Foundation will be at the LAC. Additionally, the State of California will have representatives from the Department of Insurance, Housing and Community Development, the Franchise Tax Board, the Board of Equalization and the Contractors State License Board at the LAC.
