Very interesting article to chew over. In TCM, people who have mental issues (including those who have severe difficulties perceiving reality + illusion) are said to have dangerous Qi blockage and circulation difficulties between the torsos. Meaning, when we have mental issues (including difficulty to sleep at night), our Qi cant travel up to the brain and down well. Of course, this is a very primitive and premature diagnosis on paper here, as mental and sleep issues in TCM theory are related to Qi and Blood flow to the heart, liver, spleen and kidneys.
