Very interesting what Russian Lilia Shevtsova has to say. Although 1 hour 22 minutes long, the video and the speech she gave in Washington D.C. is absolutely fascinating material. Its an eye opener, a wake up call. If you have time to spare and you are interested in politics and first class analysis, this is a must see and hear. This is what I wrote down after her first 15 minutes of speech: The Putin system will not disappear peacefully like the Soviet Union. Its a clash of civilizations with huge repercussions. The challenge the West must deal with is confrontation and war. But the West is too slow in reacting to the challenge. It remains in a status quo mode. The West has lost its ability to lead. China is a world power. But it restrains itself. But Russia has always been a militarized state. Russian society has always lived in periods of peace and war. Peace was only the preparation for a new war. Etc. Again, Mrs. Shevtsova delivers, from our point of view of course, a fascinating speech, explaining why Russia cannot accept defeat, why its elite failed after 1991, why tactical victories will bring Putin strategic desaster etc.
