Very odd. I had two people ask me today how we came up with Yellow Dye #5. Our first band name was Dashboard Mary. Thanks to Joe Bringartner. We then moved from acoustic to electric. The name search began. Tommy Hurt and I compiled eight pages of possible names. I was sold on The Really Dark Clouds. I wanted an adverb in the title. But then again, but then again,(intended) (Jay Agee) one night after a late night poker session, Scott Wilkins awoke on our couch. He began to read the ingredients of a Twinkie. Polysorbate 80, he said.......monosodium glutamate....... Were all met with frowns. Yellow Dye #5????, he said. Winner. So now you know.
