Very sad news: Walter R. Gorr was the last known Tracy resident who was known to have been a survivor of the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor on Sunday 7 December 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and passed away on Monday 8 July. A resident of Astoria Gardens, he was 95 when he died. Walter was a Life Member of VFW 1537 and will be missed by many, including fellow WWII veterans. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday 17 July at Mount Oso Masonic Lodge, 1601 N. Tracy Blvd.
