Very sad story continues The plane crashed right off the shore of the Bailiwicks of Guernsey. This is a island positioned right of the french coast of normandy. Normandy is known for its world war II stories. A rescue party has been sent to the sight to look for survivors. The wreckage is a tragic sight. All hope is lost until someone screams HELP behind a pile of debris. Floating on some part of the plane just like jack in the titanic. Immediately the rescue party moved in. Filing through the rubble, slow and surely, for lives have been found. An elderly man with both legs broken who identified himself as a british citizen going back to britain from the USA on business. He was the one floating on the remains. A middle aged woman with a collar bone fracture, clutching her 8yr old son not even realizing how badly injured she was (what can u say about a mothers love?) and a young woman who had 2nd degree burns on her face, chest and back, also a broken arm. She hit her head hard and had a case of amnesia. The four were the only survivors of the 300 plus passengers on board. There were 9 others rescues, however a few died even before getting to hospital and the rest died there. Mary was the burnt girl. She survived. However, there was no record the hospital could use to identify her because she had lost her memory and no identification could be found on her. They may have been lost in the crash. And she paid in cash at the ticket counter so only her name appeared on the manifest. To add more to her troubles, she told her parents she was off to hawaii for spring break. So even when the new broke, her parent didnt think of following it to find their daughter. Why would they, shes in hawaii. Mark waited and wait not knowing what to do. Waited with the others who were also at the airport to welcome their loved ones who never showed. And very insensitively, the new of only four survivors broke and their identities, except for 1 with memory loss. Arrangement was made for the families of the survivors to meet with their loved ones on the island by the carrier airline. Mark was optimistic mary was the survivor, so he requested to tag along to see if his identification was true and he was the only 1 who hadnt received any information about his guest. So it must be mary. He and the rest start their journey by ferry to the island and the all try to console each other and using the fact that it could have been worse. Over 300 people lost there lives but their own people are still alive. They should be with them. They went by ferry because none of them dare think about flying at a time like this.
