Very seldom do I get real serious on FB, let alone voice my political views, occasionally a quote or meme to show where I stand and who I am. I don’t expect anyone to believe what I believe or feel what I feel and I admit that I would rather keep my nose out of all government issues. Honestly, I want to lay my head down at night and know my family is safe in a free country and wake in the morning to coffee, freedom of religion and education for my boys. Work and provide food and some fun while I can. I want it to be that simple and, yes, I realize this is living with blinders on. Do you not think, Mr. President, that I would have health insurance if I could afford it? Do you think I have some money hidden somewhere? If I had ‘extra’ money somewhere I would not have to live paycheck to paycheck, I would not have to shop thrift stores and count every last penny. I’d be able to pay off that last little chunk of a bill or take my son out to dinner or to a movie. There is no getting around the fact that I can’t afford what you are trying to do to me! Do you think that at the end of the year when you penalize me for NOT having this affordable insurance that the money will just appear?? And then what happens?? Penalize me even more? How can you not see that you are taking away my ability to provide the essentials for myself and my family? I am so much more than a number on a page or a statistic. I am a living breathing person!! I am a single mother who puts God first, family second. I am a woman who takes my responsibilities seriously and takes care of them to the best of MY ability. I am a citizen of the United States, the same country you took an oath to preserve, protect and defend. …. I guess the phrase ‘to the best of YOUR ability’ didn’t mean much???
