Very well said on the Hobby Lobby commotion was a comment. If companies can owned and operated by conservative Christians can be exempted from certain aspects of a law due to religious beliefs, what about other religious beliefs. Can Christian scientists refuse to pay for insurance that covers blood transfusions? Can believers in Voo Doo get by with insurance that only covers the cost of a shaman? What about other things that go against an employers beliefs? If religious beliefs are a legitimate reason to exempt a company from laws regarding health insurance, then couldnt the same argument be used against any other regulation they might object to. As one commentator I heard put it, if we allow exemptions from laws on religious grounds, soon it could be impossible for government to function. If Hobby Lobby wins this case, I fear we are at the top of a very slippery slope.
