Veteran Gp Capt Suhas Phatak was requested by the Govt Of Maharashtra to attend two day training program as a representative of the DSW, Govt of Maharashtra. His report on the training program sent as an email to the organizers is appended below:- Two Days Training Programme --12 &13 June 2014 Dear Mrs Molly Sengupta I must thank entire faculty and you in particular for conducting two days of training programme for all of us from 12th &13th June 14 at your Training Institute. I am sure all of us have immensely benefited with the material given to us and the topics selected for our training. I am sure we will fill the gap between the pensioner and the bank as PDA/CPPC so that ultimately veteran gets his/her dues in time without delay. I was particularly interested in discussion on two more topics of our interest as follows:- 1) Detailed instructions for PSU absorbees who are at a disadvantage when they retire after completion of 15 years of service in PSU. They are not even given weighatge as per policy.I feel after 15 years of service in PSU, they should once again brought at par with their QS and rank for pension. 2) Simplified method of remittance of pension to veterans and widows who are now settled abroad in different countries of commonwealth. This simplified remittance method should be in respect of pension remittance only and no other remittances to avoid any further violation of FEMA rules. I am sure you can find some solution to this.
