Veterans Day. I would like to honor my family members who have served in the armed forces. My dad, JL Byas, served in the 82nd Airborne Division and was part of the occupation forces of Italy after WWII; my uncle, Curtis Kitchens, who also served in Italy; my brother, Jack Byas, who served in Iraq during the Surge; and my great-uncle, Fred Kitchens, who died in France in 1944, is buried on a beach facing the Atlantic Ocean in Normandy, France. I pray that no more American soldiers will have to give their lives in war, knowing the world will never know true peace until the Prince of Peace returns in his glorious appearing.
