Veterans Day is an official holiday which honors people who have served in one of the US Armed services protecting our freedom, our Nation, our homes. This Friday we would like to honor all of those in attendance at our game who have served. The Swain High Football Team, Varsity Cheerleaders and Marching Band are asking that you join us on the field for Pre game and for the playing of our National Anthem. Please meet at the field house at 7:10. We are asking this of any Veterans in attendance because regardless of the game outcome, regardless of which team you are cheering on, we are all one Nation and we are proud of all our Veterans. I know in the past that many of you who are Veterans do not want to come out on the field and be recognized. Several who I know are Veterans have said thats not why I served. We truly desire to honor you and ask that you give us this opportunity to say thank you for all that you have given us. See you Friday!
