Via Barbara Silva 1/21/14 Dear Band Parents and Students, Jazz Night 2014 will be on Thursday, February 20th. The order form will be going home with your child soon, or you can print a copy from the website link posted here earlier or from the attachment on the Charms e-mails that were just sent. This event is open to all, so don’t forget to print extra forms and ask your family and friends if they would like to buy tickets! Ticket orders are due no later than Tuesday, February 11, 2014, either turned in to Mr. Leff during school hours or to me at our Band Booster meeting that evening. Upon receipt of your ticket order and payment, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you list. Tickets will be given to you at check-in on the evening of the event starting at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will start at 6 p.m. Additionally, I am in need of many band parent (your child does not have to be a member of the jazz bands to volunteer your help) and student volunteers: parents to donate yellow cupcakes in white cupcake wrappers with vanilla frosting and/or chocolate-dipped strawberries for the dessert; donations of home crafted items such as wreaths, quilts, afghans, etc., items from a home business such as Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, 31 Bags, Avon, lawn care, house cleaning, etc., and homemade baked items such as whole cakes, whole pies, cookies (in a minimum 2-dozen amount), etc. all boxed up to be put in our silent auction; parents and non-jazz band students to help with set-up, food service, and clean-up. (Students…. please sign up on the list posted on the bulletin board in the band room. Thanks.) Also, please let me know if you have any large trays and/or large sheet cake pans that we can borrow for the evening to use as serving trays.
