Via Frank Dilger: Cherokee Nation and Veteran; what was terrible was the fact they did not fully get recognized until the government sometime later on during the Vietnam war decided they werent needed . Have often wondered were they hoping all of the Code talkers living would have been dead so they would not have to acknowledge them at all .
