Via Rachel Snow: Chiefs who oppose or question AFN are meeting - TopicsExpress

Via Rachel Snow: Chiefs who oppose or question AFN are meeting under the confederacy to discuss FNEA but also the problems with AFN. In 1969, Alberta Treaty chiefs worked together at their own expense to oppose the white paper. The chiefs then went to England to oppose Trudeaus patriation of the constitution and Sec. 35 was to protect Indigenous inherent rights. Today AFN is infected with INAC CEO chiefs who are administrators of underfunded programs. If the Confederacy has chiefs that are trying to stop FNEA and AFN, we the grassroots should be involved. BUT there is a difference being grassroots and media. As far as I know since my late dad was involved the Red Paper and Sec. 35, chiefs did not allow media to help them plan. They relied on ceremony and elders.
