Via Radio Free Sarawak The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on illegal immigrants in Sabah was released last Wednesday, but critics like the Sabah Star Party chairman Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan are not satisfied with the report. He argues how can the Royal Commission of Inquiry say political parties were not involved in the issuance of Identity Cards, when all evidence points to the conclusion that they were? Many are finding it hard to believe that the report failed to find any political motive behind the issuance of citizenship to foreigners. Also, illegal logging is claimed to have occurred at Native Customary Rights (NCR) land in Melaban, Abok. The illegal loggers also allegedly encroached into neighbouring areas recently gazetted as a national park. RFS interviews Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sri Aman chief Leon Jimat Donald, a local headman Usop and activist Nicholas Mujah regarding the issues. Tune in for more.
