VicPD News | VicPD Officers Dealing with Distraught Man UPDATE 0630: The man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and brought to hospital at around midnight last night. Thanks for all of your wishes for a peaceful and successful response, it was just that. Victoria BC - VicPD officers are currently in the 1500-block of Oaklands Avenue and dealing with a distraught man at that location. Officers were called to the house earlier in the evening by the mans family who were concerned for his well being. When officers arrived, the man sequestered himself inside. Crisis Negotiators are currently on scene talking to the man in hopes of being able to get him to the help he needs.
