VicPD investigators are releasing a suspect description and asking for the public’s assistance after an alleged assault on a pre-teen girl in Esquimalt’s Memorial Park yesterday morning. The incident took place in Memorial Park, in the 1200-block of Esquimalt Road, just before 8 a.m. yesterday. The pre-teen girl was on her way to school through the park when the suspect grabbed at her. The girl, who was unharmed, fled, to school, where she reported the incident. VicPD officers then flooded the area in the search for a suspect. The suspect is described as: White male 30-35 years Approximate height of 5’10” Dark hair, cut to collar length with some sort of bangs or longer on top Facial hair or sideburns to jaw line Dark blue or black long-sleeved shirt with sleeves pushed up Jeans Dark sunglasses Members of several VicPD sections are actively working to investigate the file and identify the suspect.
