Vice President Sambo Behind Kaduna Speaker’s Travails In what appears to be an apparent move to regain his political structure in his homestead, Kaduna; the Vice-President Namadi Sambo is said to be waging political war against the Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Usman Gangara. Sources said Hon. Gangara’s godfather, Alhaji Samaila Yakawada, a former Secretary to State Government during the administration of late Gov. Yakowa is working against Namadi Sambo in Kaduna State. At the last year December Local Government election in the state, Yakawada and the speaker allegedly ensured that Sambo’s candidates lost out in the PDP primaries. As you read this piece, Sambo, it was gathered has no candidates among the elected council chairmen in the State, not even his local government area. Just like the incumbent governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Yero, Yakawada is said to have an overbearing influence on the PDP executives in the state. We were informed that Sambo is battling hard to turn the table in his favour in the state ahead of the 2015 elections so that Governor Yero, his perceived godson would have a smooth ride in his bid to seek re-election. The calculation in Sambo’s camp is that going by the last LG elections, Yakawada and Hon. Gangara may play fast one on the Vice president and the governor in 2015 elections. Only recently, there were alleged aborted plots to impeach Hon. Gangara and replace him with another lawmaker who will represent the interest of Namadi Sambo and Governor Yero in the House. Insider alleged that the vice president allegedly played a major role in the botched impeachment process.
