Though personally I do not like the faction at all (for more on them an older report here: al-monitor/pulse/originals/2013/12/syria-lebanon-islamic-front-political-transition-conflict.html). I met some parts of the groups, who later formed the Islamic Front, in the Southeast of Syria in 2013 - and they clearly where extremly radical, especially in regard towards other religious and ethnic minorities. But there is probably also a regional split as nowadays most of these groups in the Southeast joined the Islamic State - in opposition to the groups around Aleppo.
