Melbourne, 27 June 2013 Australia – Victoria No. 091T – 2013 Port of Port Phillip Half Moon Bay & Black Rock Installation of New Aids to Navigation / Removal of Redundant Aids to Navigation Date: Immediate Details: Mariners are advised of the installation of new aids to navigation (piles) and the removal of redundant aids to navigation, between Half Moon Bay and the near shore area at Black Rock between approx.37°57.897’S, 145°0.494’E and 37°58.563’S, 145°0.74’E. The new aids to navigation are to mark the offshore extent of the new Boating & Swimming Zones, 5 Knot speed limit, No Vessels (swimming only) zones and revised navigation marks. Marine operations plant will include pile driving barge & equipment and support vessels and may include diving operations. On water plant will be lit to IALA standards from sunset to sunrise. Mariners are advised to navigate with extreme caution within the vicinity of the works and the changed aids to navigation.
