Months ago, I blogged about my First World Pet Peeve of having to turn off my eReader for no good safety reason. 20,000 fans joined me in petitioning the FAA, and now new rules have been promulgated that will allow personal electronic devices to be used during most of the flight (EXCEPT during take off and landing, where they and any books/magazines rightfully should be stowed). The rule will be going into effect as airlines adjust their policies, and it does NOT affect cellular phone use. Thanks, friends.
